Medical

Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center and the Affiliated Community Medical Centers medical clinic make up the largest health care center within a 60-mile radius of Marshall.

Twenty-seven physicians and physician assistants are available in the community, with specialties including:  OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Orthopedics, Urology, and General Surgery.

Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center  combines Marshall's 49-bed municipal hospital with a 76-bed skilled care nursing home, outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care.  Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center is both JCAHO accredited and Medicare certified, and holds regularly scheduled outpatient clinics.

Affiliated Community Medical Centers in Marshall has two clinics which staff over 20 physicians and mid level practitioners. ACMC - Marshall is part of Affiliated Community Medical Center's multispecialty 11-clinic healthcare network, a regional leader in West Central and Southwest Minnesota's health care delivery system. In 2009, ACMC's Market Street Clinic underwent a major remodeling project adding 2,800 square feet, and remodeling an existing 5800 square feet, to make room for their state-of-the-art Imaging Center, including digital mammography, ultrasound, imaging, and CT. Urgent Care services are also available at the ACMC Market Street clinic during the evenings and on weekends.

For mental health needs, Western  Mental Health Center provides adult, family and child mental health services.  The Center is a non-profit corporation, licensed by the state, with a fully qualified, credentialed staff.  Contact WMHC at 532-3236, or call their toll free number 1-800-658-2429 (24 hours per day).

Project Turnabout is a private, non-profit treatment center providing services to chemically dependent persons and family members, compulsive gamblers and perpetrators of domestic abuse.  Marshall's facility offers outpatient services, and operates a half-way house to service clients who need additional support and structure prior to returning to families and communities.
